1. Granite-boulder beaches that actually look like the photos
Belitung’s big visual draw is real: pale sand, glassy water, and those giant granite rocks that look almost sculpted. They’re not marketing props — they define the coastline in key areas such as Tanjung Tinggi, Tanjung Kelayang and around the small islands off the northwest coast.
On a clear day you can:
- Walk into shallow water over soft sand with almost no wave action.
- See small fish and coral patches just off the beach in the island-hopping area.
- Get that Seychelles-lite look without flying across continents.
Are all beaches perfect? No. Some stretches are more ordinary, some show erosion or have cloudier water after rain. But if you target the right pockets, the postcard scenes are very accessible.
